Sarten Ambalaj Chairman Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir and Sarten’s Japanese partner, MITSUI & CO. EUROPE PLC, Managing Director, Mr. Atsushi Kume were also present at company’s 12th Aegean Region Dinner which was organized this year with a broader participation due to Sarten’s 45th anniversary. Making the keynote speech of the “Aegean Region Dinner” held on 13th October at Izmir Swissotel Büyük Efes with the participation of 350 people, Sarten Ambalaj Chairman Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir said, “Our Aegean Region Dinner that we have been holding for 12 years gained a special importance due to its coincidence with our 45th anniversary activities. Celebrating our 45th anniversary together with our customers, employees and suppliers are of great importance for us”. Sarten is the largest integrated packaging manufacturer of Turkey Sarıbekir highligted, adding that, “At Sarten, we produce healthy and high-quality metal and plastic package for many industries such as canned food, cooking oil, agricultural pesticides, mineral oil, paint and cosmetics. We are positioning Sarten as the “Supermarket of Packaging”. We use this motto at all our steps we take as part of our mission to meet all packaging-related needs of the industry with high-quality, high-speed and reasonable prices. We continue our efforts in diverse areas such as cost-reducing projects, automation-oriented investments, capacity increases in needed areas, and new factory investments. Our journey which started in Çorlu in 1972 continues today in a total of 17 factories in different locations including Silivri, Gebze, Gemlik, Karacabey, Manisa, Ayvalık and Adana in Turkey, and also in Bulgaria, Russia and Netherlands abroad. Package exports of USD 80 million
Sarıbekir underlined that 25 percent of Sarten’s total turnover was made up of exports. “Our target is to raise our exports to USD 100 million by 2020, from about USD 80 million at present. We are planning to reach this USD 100 million target thanks to our high-quality and multilingual export team positioned in our head office; our team located in Sophia since 2016 to offer closer services in our activities in the Balkans and Central Europe, and our sale office that we will open in Netherlands late this year. We export our products mainly to the European Union, Middle East and North African countries,” Sarıbekir said.
