SARTEN started metal packaging production at its Çorlu plant on 20 March 1972, and since then has opened a number of new plants in order to meet the needs of its customers in the growing Turkish market. Thanks to the investments it has made in line with its growth strategy, SARTEN currently owns 18 plants in Silivri, Gebze, Karacabey, Gemlik, Manisa, Ayvalık, Adana and Nigde.
In parallel to its customer oriented strategy, SARTEN made production facility investments in the areas where manufacturing plants of customers are concentrated.
Throughout nearly 50 years of its business activities in the packaging industry, SARTEN has always been the pioneer of change and innovation. Silivri R&D Centre and Manisa Technology Centre, established for this purpose, continue to lead SARTEN’s efforts in the field of innovation.
SARTEN’s product portfolio features Rigid Metal and Plastic Packages, Twist of caps and Easy Open Ends. Leveraging on this broad product range, the Company serves three main industries: Food, Manufacture and Cosmetics.
In 2015, SARTEN signed a shareholding agreement for transferring 15% of its shares to Mitsui, one of the world’s largest powerhouses.
SARTEN operates 4 factories abroad, 2 in Bulgaria and Russia and Netherlands.
Namely, these factories are; the Metal Can Production Plant in PLEVEN., Metal Can and Twist of Caps Production Plant established in LYASKOVETS, operating under Sarten Bulgaria Ltd, Aerosol Can Production Plant established in NEVINOMINSK operating under OOO Sarpak Russia and Aerosol Can Production Plant established in ROOSENDAAL operating under Sarten Packaging Netherlands B.V.
SARTEN also has two companies found in Romania and Serbia for sales and marketing to these countries and neighbouring region.
SARTEN ACADEMY, founded as part of our commitment to continuously invest in people, has been in operation since 2008, delivering trainings for new recruits personnel, existing employees and customers. SARTEN employs more than 3,000 people in total at home and abroad.
SARTEN ranks 102 on the ISO 2019, Top 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises, and 147 on the top 1000 Largest Exporters list announced by Turkish Exporters Assembly. In 2014, the Company was also admitted in the Turquality program.
